Our Client a leading bank in Asia with a global network of more than 500 branches and offices in 19 countries and territories in Asia Pacific, Europe, and North America, are looking for Consultants to be part of the project.

The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance and planning support and services. They work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Malaysia and overseas branches.

The client has more than 80 years of history in the banking industry and is expanding its footprint in Malaysia. You will be working in a newly set-up technology centre located in Kuala Lumpur as part of Technology and Operations to deliver innovative financial technology solutions that enable business growth and technology transformation.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications in the Cards domain using COBOL, CICS, JCL, VSAM, and sequential datasets.

Work on CardLink and/or Vision Plus platforms for implementation of new features, enhancements, and change requests.

Participate in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC)

including requirement analysis, design, coding, unit testing, integration, deployment, and support.

Collaborate with business analysts, solution architects, and QA teams to deliver high-quality solutions aligned with functional and business requirements.

Perform code reviews, ensure adherence to coding standards, and support change management and version control processes.

bullet icon

Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues or defects, ensuring minimal downtime and high system availability.

Create and maintain technical documentation for developed modules, workflows, and configurations.

Work closely with infrastructure and operations teams to ensure smooth deployment and performance optimization.

Ensure compliance with banking domain standards, security policies, and regulatory guidelines.

Continuously improve system performance, reliability, and scalability by applying best practices and automation where possible.

Skills

Must have

3 to 5 years of experience in strong programming experience in Mainframe COBOL, CICS, JCL

bullet icon

Hands-on experience with VSAM and Sequential Datasets

bullet icon

Development experience on CardLink and/or Vision Plus platforms

bullet icon

Good understanding of SDLC, change management, and delivery lifecycle

bullet icon

Experience in Cards domain projects
