Our Client a leading bank in Asia with a global network of more than 500 branches and offices in 19 countries and territories in Asia Pacific, Europe, and North America, are looking for Consultants to be part of the project.

The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance and planning support and services. They work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Malaysia and overseas branches.

The client has more than 80 years of history in the banking industry and is expanding its footprint in Malaysia.
The selected resource will be working in a newly set-up technology centre located in Kuala Lumpur as part of Technology and Operations to deliver innovative financial technology solutions that enable business growth and technology transformation.

Responsibilities
bullet icon

Execute manual test cases and scenarios validating middleware applications and environments on Kafka, WebLogic, MQ, and JBoss running on Linux (RHEL).

Validate configurations, deployments, cluster setups, and middleware functionalities to ensure compliance with requirements.

Identify, document, and report defects or issues found during manual testing.

bullet icon

Collaborate closely with build engineers, middleware administrators, and developers to understand middleware environment setup and workflows.

Support testing across middleware platforms (Kafka, WebLogic) running in Unix/Linux environments.

Verify and validate SQL queries and database transactions on Oracle and MySQL during middleware testing.

Document test results, produce test reports, and maintain QA documentation.

Participate in reviewing environment setup processes and scripts to identify potential quality issues.

Contribute to continuous process improvements in QA and middleware deployment practices.

Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint reviews and defect triage meetings.

Skills

Must have

3-5 years of experience in manual QA/testing in middleware or Linux environments.

bullet icon

Strong understanding and mandatory experience with Kafka, WebLogic, and Linux/RHEL platform.

bullet icon

Proficiency in manual testing methodologies and defect tracking.

bullet icon

Solid knowledge of Unix/Linux OS, shell commands, and basic scripting.

bullet icon

Basic SQL skills for database validation in Oracle and MySQL.

bullet icon

Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.

bullet icon

Ability to work collaboratively with build engineering and infrastructure teams.

Nice to have
