Our Client is a leading global financial markets infrastructure and data provider. Their purpose is driving financial stability, empowering economies and enabling customers to create sustainable growth.

We are seeking a Lead QA Engineer to join a highly collaborative, cross-functional, software QA team responsible for functional testing, performancetesting and data validation across a variety of technologies.

This role will be based in Beijing which will have support both locally and from the wider teams.

This role will work as part of a scrum team and may lead the integration testing across multiple scrum teams.

Responsibilities

Set project testing strategy/test plan: test environment, automation, performance, test data management, testing tools etc.

Lead functional/non-functional testing and business-oriented end to end integration.

Set clear automation goal and drive automation implementation

bullet icon

Collaborate with Solution Architect, BA for the Non-functional requirements and set the performance testing plan

bullet icon

Follow best practices and QA methodologies and processes, working across critical stages of the product lifecycle from define to build

Understand the business use cases and carry out testing to ensure top quality of delivered solutions

bullet icon

Understand and analyse the Requirement Specifications and design test scenarios

bullet icon

Review and analyse completeness of test coverage

bullet icon

Carry out Functional testing and Non-functional testing

bullet icon

Solve technical issues and challenges in testing work

bullet icon

Execute Test Scripts, Defect tracking in applicable tool, Status Reporting, Defect Reporting

Oversees the maintenance of all customer technology solutions, ensuring all issues are resolved on time

Drive continuous improvement from quality perspective

bullet icon

Responsible for communicating the status of ongoing work to stakeholders accurately

Provide coaching to junior staff (Associate Engineer, Engineer and Senior Engineer) as needed

Skills

Must have

bullet icon

10+ years experience in Software QA or Development Engieer role

bullet icon

Proven ability to drive and implement test strategies/test plan, including automation, performance, E2E integration, test environment.

In-depth knowledge of Software QA methodologies and experience of agile testing

bullet icon

Strong background with test automation

bullet icon

Excellent coding skills in Python or Java

bullet icon

Proven record to set the quality measurement model and drive continuous quality improvement

bullet icon

Excellent coaching skills

bullet icon

Good communication and influence skills

bullet icon

Excellent problem-solving skills

bullet icon

Good understanding of SDLC, CICD and Git (source code repository)

bullet icon

Experience with Jira, Confluence and TestRail

bullet icon

Cloud testing experience (Azure, AWS, etc) and relevant certificates are preferred

Nice to have
