Our client is a leading global Financial market data provider who runs a number of change programs to deliver high-quality software that connects Financial Markets across the globe in a real-time, high-frequency, and low-latency data management chain. The projects are technically challenging in an environment that is very engaging.

You will join a dedicated Testing Chapter supporting the client's real-time engineering re-platforming programme - a major modernisation of the platform that distributes real-time market data. The chapter's mission is to increase repeatable, automated test evidence, reduce manual regression effort, and give product teams the confidence to release faster.

We are looking for a QA Automation Lead (based in London) to provide overall leadership, direction, and governance for test automation - ensuring automation delivery aligns with quality objectives and business priorities.

Responsibilities

Set project testing strategy/test plan: test environment, automation, performance, test data management, testing tools etc.

Lead functional/non-functional testing and business-oriented end to end integration.

Set clear automation goals and drive automation implementation

bullet icon

Follow best practices and QA methodologies and processes, working across critical stages of the product lifecycle from define to build

bullet icon

Understand the business use cases and carry out testing to ensure top quality of delivered solutions

bullet icon

Understand and analyse the Requirement Specifications and design test scenarios

bullet icon

Carry out Functional testing and Non-functional testing

bullet icon

Solve technical issues and challenges in testing work

bullet icon

Drive continuous improvement from quality perspective

bullet icon

Responsible for communicating the status of ongoing work to stakeholders accurately

Skills

Must have

bullet icon

8+ years experience in Software Testing

bullet icon

Strong expertise in Python for test automation

bullet icon

Hands-on experience in creating and implementing test strategies/test plans, including automation, performance, E2E integration, test environment.

bullet icon

Hands-on experience in RESTful API testing and complex integrations, including real-time processing (JSON, XML, HTTP, API authentication).

bullet icon

In-depth knowledge of Software QA methodologies and experience of agile testing

bullet icon

Good communication and influence skills

bullet icon

Excellent problem-solving skills

bullet icon

Good understanding of SDLC, CICD and Git (source code repository)

bullet icon

Experience with Jira, Confluence and TestRail

Nice to have

bullet icon

Cloud testing experience (Azure, AWS, etc) and relevant certificates are preferred

SQL and database validation

bullet icon

Knowledge of financial services is a plus
