We are looking for a highly skilled Lead Android Framework Developer with a strong background in both Android application development and the Android Open Source Project (AOSP). This role goes beyond feature development — you will lead the infrastructure, automation, and deployment processes that support a large-scale Android ecosystem.

Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Automation:

Manage and scale an extensive Android device farm, including automated flashing, upkeep, and automation testing.

Own and evolve the team's CI/CD architecture.

Develop and maintain complex Jenkins pipelines using Groovy, Bash, and Python.

Build, test, and deploy with Docker and Ansible for scalable, reliable delivery pipelines.

Leverage AWS for artifact storage, management, and distribution.

Implement robust monitoring and observability with Grafana and Prometheus.

Collaboration & Leadership:

Partner closely with cross-functional teams across multiple time zones.

Provide technical leadership, documentation, and mentorship.

Drive best practices through code reviews and technical discussions.

Stay current with emerging Android, DevOps, and infrastructure technologies to foster innovation.

Soft Skills:

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Strong communication skills in cross-team, multicultural environments.

Adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Ability to coordinate work across global time zones and remote labs.

Skills

Must have

Education:

Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.

Android Expertise:

Strong experience in Android application development and AOSP customization.

Hands-on development experience with Android 10, including migration to Android 13.

Proven ability to adapt apps for Android 13 features: background execution limits, notification permissions, media controls, and per-app language preferences.

Infrastructure & DevOps Expertise:

Proven experience managing large-scale Android device infrastructure across geographies.

Advanced proficiency in Docker, including Compose and networking.

Expert-level knowledge of Ansible (playbooks, roles, templates, handlers).

Strong skills in Jenkins Groovy scripting for multi-stage, conditional builds.

4-5 years of experience with Linux, Python, and Bash scripting.

Expertise in AWS artifact management and distribution.

Monitoring and observability experience with Grafana and Prometheus.

Soft Skills:

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Strong communication skills in cross-team, multicultural environments.

Adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Ability to coordinate work across global time zones and remote labs.

Nice to have

Contributions to open-source Android or Linux projects.

Familiarity with CI/CD systems (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).

Working knowledge of AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud environments.
