Project description

The primary purpose of the project is to implement the team's recommendations from the assessment that was recently conducted by DXC for the Telecom Service provider. The final recommendations focused on transforming the team's processes while standing up the Unified Development & DevOps Eco-system which focuses on an:

1. Integrated Governance Model - Lead a team of professional to institutionalize a Program Governance Model for managing software development life cycle (SDLC) process within the Atlassian Jira software applications
2. Delivery Framework - Oversee the installation and configuration of GitHub with standardized pipelines using Azure Storage which focuses on uploads to automated artifact management
3. Repository Standardization - Provide oversight in the adoption of code repositories as governed delivery assets which enable rapid change while ensuring visibility and traceability
4. Release Process - Work collaboratively to standardize the process which focuses on moving from a "code complete" to "release ready" model which removes ambiguity in the decision-making process
5. Oversee the Launch Unified Development & DevOps Eco-System - Provide leadership on the deployment of an enterprise solution for Software and Hardware requirements leveraging agile best practices, while improving quality through the usage of CI/CD & AI / GEN-AI tools.

As the customer prepares to move from a 100% outsourced SDLC model to an in-house SDLC model, the work product and processes will require this candidate to run parallel workstreams while building out simpler processes with automation to reduce time to market, reduce costs and drive efficiency improvements without sacrificing device quality.
