Application Modernization Practice is a horizontal practice, supporting all business verticals in DXC, with focus on the transformation of the legacy systems.

Role:
Supervize the delivery execution from both technical and people management perspective, of discovery, documentation, and modernization paths from legacy systems (Sabretalk, z/TPF, etc.) to modern stacks (COTS software integrations, Java, MSA, public clouds).
This role is focused on communication, technical leadership, day-to-day management of development team, and quality control.

Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Tech Lead who can:

Provide technical leadership to a segment of the development team

bullet icon

Aid Analytics and Architecture in identification of optimal solutions

bullet icon

Guide and supervise the implementation of technical solutions

bullet icon

Adopt and promote Agile and DevOps culture, drive Agile ceremonies

bullet icon

Coordinate the development team’s workload and schedules

bullet icon

Review and improve the existing implementations (primarily in Python)

bullet icon

Quickly adapt to the Client's processes and environment

bullet icon

Workload Distribution:

Skills

Must have

bullet icon

Experience of working as a technical lead of at least 3 years.

bullet icon

Experience of leading a team of at least 3 years.

bullet icon

At least 5 years' work experience with enterprise backend systems.

bullet icon

Experience of working in distributed teams and leading a distributed team.

bullet icon

Knowledge of Agile processes and practices and ability to apply them.

bullet icon

Understanding of enterprise applications’ architecture patterns.

bullet icon

Knowledge of Python and at least 1 more programming language, preferably Java.

bullet icon

Familiarity with GenAI applications in software development.

bullet icon

Experience with any public cloud provider and knowledge of cloud architecture and distributed systems’ patterns.

bullet icon

Familiarity with containers and orchestration systems (Kubernetes/PKS/OpenShift).

bullet icon

Good knowledge of SQL (any dialect) and at least one relational database.

bullet icon

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

bullet icon

Experience of work with English-speaking customers (US customers are a plus).
