A large Australian financial institution has engaged us to provide resources for their Digital transformation & app modernization on multiple applications.

We are looking for an experienced Java Engineer to join our engineering team and contribute to the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-grade applications. You will play a key role throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), delivering scalable, secure, and high-quality software solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to engineering best practices.

Responsibilities
bullet icon

Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance enterprise applications using Core Java and Spring Boot.

Design and implement scalable Microservices following industry best practices.

bullet icon

Develop RESTful APIs and integrate applications with internal and external systems.

bullet icon

Build and support event-driven solutions using Kafka.

bullet icon

Apply SOLID principles and Design Patterns to produce clean, maintainable, and reusable code.

bullet icon

Develop cloud-native applications and support deployments on cloud platforms.

bullet icon

Design and optimize database schemas, queries, and application performance.

bullet icon

Participate in code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, and troubleshooting activities.

bullet icon

Collaborate with Architects, Business Analysts, QA Engineers, and DevOps teams throughout the SDLC.

bullet icon

Contribute to CI/CD implementation and support containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes.

Produce technical documentation and ensure compliance with coding standards, security guidelines, and quality processes.

Skills

Must have

3+ years of hands-on experience in Java application development.

bullet icon

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

bullet icon

Strong hands-on experience with Core Java.

bullet icon

Strong experience in developing applications using Spring Boot.

bullet icon

Experience working with Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

bullet icon

Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka for event-driven applications.

bullet icon

Strong understanding of Design Principles, SOLID principles, and Design Patterns.

bullet icon

Experience designing and developing Microservices Architecture.

bullet icon

Good understanding of Database Concepts, SQL, and data modelling.

bullet icon

Basic working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.

Experience working in Agile development environments and across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Nice to have

Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.

Knowledge of Git and source code management practices.
