A leading bank in Australia is undertaking a major Core Banking transformation and migration program. We are looking for a Senior Infrastructure Test Lead with strong experience in Infrastructure & Platform Testing, System Integration Testing, Performance & Capacity Testing, and end-to-end technology validation. The role will coordinate infrastructure testing across multiple delivery streams, managing cross-platform dependencies, risks, environment readiness, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure the underlying technology platforms are resilient, performant, and production-ready.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end Infrastructure & Platform Testing for large-scale Core Banking transformation and migration programs.

Develop and execute comprehensive Infrastructure Test Strategies, Test Plans, Quality Gates, Dashboards, and Governance Reporting.

Lead testing of infrastructure and technology platforms, including compute, network, storage, middleware, databases, cloud and hosting platforms relevant to the solution.

Drive System Integration Testing (SIT) across infrastructure, platforms, applications, interfaces, and upstream/downstream systems.

Lead Performance, Load, Stress, Scalability, and Capacity Testing, validating platforms against agreed non-functional requirements and expected production workloads.

Validate environment readiness, platform configuration, connectivity, interfaces, monitoring, batch processing, scheduling, and operational dependencies.

Coordinate infrastructure testing across environments and associated Core Banking platforms, integration components, and dependent applications.

Coordinate resilience, failover, recovery, availability, and operational readiness testing in collaboration with relevant technology teams.

Identify, track, and manage cross-platform and cross-stream dependencies, ensuring infrastructure constraints and dependencies are understood and addressed within program timelines.

Identify, assess, and mitigate testing risks, issues, dependencies, environment constraints, and defects across multiple workstreams.

bullet icon

Manage infrastructure-related defects through effective defect triage, prioritisation, ownership, reporting, escalation, and resolution governance.

Collaborate with infrastructure, application, architecture, engineering, operations, security, business, vendor, and program teams to achieve testing objectives.

bullet icon

Coordinate testing across multiple streams, ensuring alignment of environment availability, milestones, dependencies, releases, and migration schedules.

Provide regular status updates, risk assessments, quality assessments, test metrics, dashboards, and quality gate recommendations to program leadership.

Lead and coordinate cross-functional testing teams and vendors to ensure effective execution and production readiness.

Must have

Proven experience as a Senior Test Lead/Test Manager delivering Infrastructure and Platform Testing within large-scale transformation or migration programs.

Strong experience in Infrastructure & Platform Testing across complex enterprise technology environments.

Strong experience validating infrastructure components including compute, network, storage, databases, middleware, cloud/hosting platforms, connectivity, and related technology services.

Proven experience leading System Integration Testing (SIT) across complex and highly integrated technology ecosystems.

bullet icon

Strong experience in Performance, Load, Stress, Scalability, and Capacity Testing, including assessment of performance against agreed non-functional requirements.

Experience coordinating resilience, failover, recovery, availability, and production-readiness testing across enterprise platforms.

Strong understanding of environment readiness, configuration validation, connectivity, monitoring, operational dependencies, and production verification.

Proven experience managing end-to-end testing across complex platforms with significant upstream, downstream, infrastructure, application, and third-party dependencies.

Extensive experience in Risk Management, Dependency Management, Issue Management, and Defect Management across large programs.

Demonstrated ability to develop and execute Test Strategies, Test Plans, Quality Gate Assessments, Dashboards, and Governance Reporting.
