Our Client a leading bank in Asia with a global network of more than 500 branches and offices in 19 countries and territories in Asia Pacific, Europe and North America are looking for Consultants to be part of the project

The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance and planning support and services. They work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Malaysia and overseas branches.

The client has more than 80 years of history in the banking industry and is expanding its footprint in Malaysia.
The selected resource will be working in a newly setup technology centre located in Kuala Lumpur as part of Technology and Operations to deliver innovative financial technology solutions that enable business growth and technology transformation.

Responsibilities

Coordinate infrastructure build and upgrade projects across server and platform teams

Perform hands-on activities in server environments (preferred) or network/backup/database infrastructure

bullet icon

Support provisioning, configuration, patching and upgrade activities on VMware and Linux/Windows environments

bullet icon

Track project milestones, risks, dependencies and provide regular status reporting

bullet icon

Work with cross-functional teams including application, database, network, and security teams

bullet icon

Maintain documentation of product versions (current/obsolete), OS lifecycle and infrastructure standards

bullet icon

Assist in capacity planning, environment setup and release readiness activities

bullet icon

Ensure compliance with enterprise infrastructure standards and IT governance processes

Skills

Must have

bullet icon

3-5 years experience in Infrastructure Engineering / Build Engineering

bullet icon

Experience as Infrastructure Project Coordinator

bullet icon

Hands-on experience in Server-side infrastructure (preferred) or exposure to Network / Backup / Database infrastructure

bullet icon

Good understanding of OS versions, product lifecycle, and infrastructure standards

bullet icon

Strong knowledge of IT terminology and current IT industry trends

bullet icon

Experience in project tracking, reporting and stakeholder coordination

bullet icon

Familiarity with project management methodologies (PMP / PRINCE2 exposure preferred)

Nice to have

Experience in virtualized environments (VMware)

Exposure to enterprise Linux (RHEL) administration

Experience supporting database infrastructure (Oracle / MySQL)
