As the Assisted & Automated Driving (AAD) System Integration and Testing team we are responsible for the HW & SW tools used for the verification and validation of the next generation ADAS and ADS features and functions. Definition, design, development, deployment, and support of all HW&SW Engineering tools required to ensure our customers receive world class products. We are currently embarking on a major transformation aimed to keep JLR at the forefront of the automotive industry. As we progress on this journey, we are currently looking to expand our team with talented and motivated developers and engineers that will help us equip the business with the world class tools needed to engineer our vehicles. You will be joining one of our agile squads as a developer, working closely with your teammates and customers to deliver working capability at pace.

Responsibilities

You will develop and implement software interfaces to interact with Assisted & Automated Driving systems and sensors: In-vehicle networks, ECU specific networks, Lidar, Radar, High Resolution & High Dynamic Range Cameras, and Inertial Navigation Systems.

You will develop and implement end-to-end software solutions to support our high-speed data acquisition technologies, from HMIs to cloud uploading.

You will support, embrace, and improve our Continuous Integration / Continuous Development strategy, supporting multiple software languages.

You will contribute to data acquisition system design, development, and deployment.

You will work closely with different multi-disciplinary squads: Ground Truth, Measurement Technique, Machine Learning, Data Analytics, and Hardware-In-the-Loop to define and deploy synergies between systems and solutions across our product validation ecosystem.

You will develop and deliver technical documentation, user manuals and training to our internal customers.

You will work closely with the wider Assisted and Automated Driving V&V area to ensure integration and scalability of our solution.

You will support issue resolution effectively and efficiently.

You will ensure safe operational conditions of data acquisition systems in prototype and production vehicles.

Skills

Must have

Min. 8-10 years experience

Strong HTML, CSS, JavaScript (ES6+, React

Python, AWS, CI/CD

Understanding of DOM, browser rendering, and responsive design

Write clean, modular, reusable components

CApply accessibility (a11y) and performance practices

Understand performance basics (lazy loading, memoization)

React-Specific Skills

Manage state and React Hooks and functional components

Manage state (useState, useReducer, Context, Redux, etc.)

Build reusable form validation and error handling (Formik, Yup)

React-Specific Skills Follow best practices (keys, fragments, conditional rendering)

Integration & API Communication

Consume REST or GraphQL APIs using fetch, Axios, Apollo

Handle authentication and authorization (NextAuth.js, OIDC, Auth0)

Manage secure token handling and refresh

Handle API error/loading states gracefully

Application Structure & Tooling

Organize projects with scalable folder structure

Understand CI/CD basics and environment configs

Use git effectively (branching, conflict resolution)

Manage dependencies and package.json settings

UI/UX & Collaboration

Work with design systems, Figma, and Storybook

Communicate effectively with backend, design, and UX teams

Nice to have

Core Frontend Fundamentals Comfort with npm/yarn, Webpack/Vite, Babel, ESLint, Prettier

UI/UX & Collaboration Follow Agile/Scrum workflows (tickets, sprints, reviews)

Optional / Senior-Level Skills Set up monitoring/analytics (Sentry, GA)

Experience with TypeScript

Experience with other frameworks (Angular)

Performance optimization (code splitting, profiling)

Frontend security awareness (XSS, CSRF, CORS)
