Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Manual Tester to join our banking technology team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software quality assurance within financial systems, combined with a solid understanding of Agile methodologies and cloud-based environments (Google Cloud Platform). This role focuses on ensuring reliability, compliance, and performance across digital banking solutions, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality releases.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, document, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for complex banking applications.

bullet icon

Validate functional, integration, and regression test coverage across multiple releases and environments.

bullet icon

Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, refinements, retrospectives).

Conduct defect triage meetings, ensuring issues are well-documented, prioritized, and tracked to closure.

bullet icon

Test API integrations, data flows, and back-office banking processes to maintain data integrity and compliance.

bullet icon

Work closely with DevOps and cloud engineering teams to test systems deployed on Google Cloud (GCP).

Apply testing strategies for certifying builds and ensure readiness for production deployments.

Provide mentoring and guidance to junior testers and contribute to process improvements in QA strategy.

Must have

German Speaker/Reader

bullet icon

Minimum 5-7 years of experience in manual testing, preferably in the banking or financial services sector.

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.

Proven experience working in Agile Scrum or Kanban environments.

bullet icon

Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and defect management processes.

bullet icon

Familiarity with Google Cloud technologies such as BigQuery, Spanner.

Hands-on experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence.

bullet icon

Good knowledge of SQL for data validation and backend testing.

bullet icon

Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and communication abilities.

ISTQB certification or equivalent QA credentials.

Nice to have

Exposure to automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman,Jmeter) for future integration with manual testing frameworks.
