Our client's mission is to be the World Leader for Vision Systems within the automotive industry by developing innovative cameras systems and providing situational awareness solutions using cutting edge technology. The Test & Validation Resident engineer will be responsible for planning, executing and reporting of Product Validation activities at external Lab (within Prague area) and ensure the customer acceptance.

Responsibilities

Execute on-site commissioning and validation of the Customer's test rack, including hardware/software updates and debugging/failure analysis support.

Manage the external lab planning, allocated resources (chamber, tools, benches) and validation cost.

bullet icon

Analyze customer specifications with the Project Team, challenge requested tests, and define the final validation plan (Test Plan, Test Specification, Timing Plan) in client's format.

Perform Validation Design Reviews (DR0–DR3) per CLEAN milestones and Engineering gates; support Risk Assessments/FVS.

bullet icon

Support BOM generation, RFQ/PO for test items, and DV test rack H/W & S/W integration and validation with DV samples.

Coordinate test kickoff, setup, verification, execution, and operational/non-operational data sorting and review.

Participate in failure analysis of validation issues, report daily until debug/FA closure, and manage customer interaction, meetings and visit support.

Generate final customer reports (peer-reviewed) and feed results back into design iterations via DRs.

Report validation status regularly (QRQC, 5MM), produce daily/weekly activity reports, and lead weekly DUT (Device Under Test) failure review.

Review insource/outsource testing policy, contribute to department efficiency, and implement robust, efficient automated test benches.

Ensure lab integrity charter compliance, 5S & safety management, and recognition of the customer's test rack by customers.

Skills

Must have

bullet icon

A relevant Technical Engineering Degree (e.g. Computer & Electronic Engineering, Physics & Instrumentation, or Mechatronics).

bullet icon

Minimum 3 to 5 years of test engineering experience in Environmental (ENV) Validation; experience with Liquid Cooling technology is beneficial.

Proficient in National Instruments software (LabVIEW and/or TestStand).

Nice to have

Certified LabVIEW programmer, with experience in TestStand software.

bullet icon

Developing instrumentation interfacing over PXI, PCI, USB, RS232 & GPIB.

Broad experience with hardware and peripherals.

bullet icon

Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex documents and schematics.

Knowledge of automotive electronics systems.

Validation experience with knowledge of test & validation methods.

Knowledge of accelerated life testing.
