We are looking for an Engineering Manager with strong experience in Capital Markets trading and risk platforms to lead the design, support, development, and delivery of strategic initiatives within a global Capital Markets environment. The role requires a hands-on technical leader who can drive architecture, engineering standards, production support, and stakeholder engagement while ensuring high-quality delivery across multiple Front Office, Middle Office, and Back Office applications.
You should have strong expertise in enterprise trading or risk management platforms such as Calypso, Murex, or similar Capital Markets platforms, along with solid experience in Java, SQL, production support, EOD processing, scheduling, and incident management.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team of application support engineers and technical specialists supporting Capital Markets platforms.

Drive end-to-end delivery of platform enhancements, production support, upgrades, integrations, and transformation initiatives.

Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance across trading and risk management platforms.

Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to define and deliver business solutions.

Oversee application design, code reviews, development best practices, support processes, and quality standards.

Manage project planning, resource allocation, risk management, and delivery timelines.

Ensure production stability through proactive monitoring, incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous service improvement.

Manage End-of-Day (EOD) processing, scheduling, batch execution, and operational readiness using enterprise scheduling tools such as Control-M and AutoSys.

Support multiple Capital Markets applications across Rates, Credit, Market Data, Limits, and related platforms.

Mentor team members and foster technical growth, collaboration, and innovation.

Work closely with global teams across multiple regions and time zones.

Drive Agile delivery practices and contribute to strategic technology roadmaps.

Skills

Must have

bullet icon

10+ years of experience in Capital Markets technology with strong experience supporting, developing, or managing enterprise trading and risk platforms.

bullet icon

Strong hands-on experience with Calypso, Murex, or other enterprise trading/risk platforms within Capital Markets. (Calypso experience is preferred but not mandatory.)

Strong Java development skills with experience in enterprise application development.

bullet icon

Strong SQL skills with experience in Oracle or similar relational databases.

bullet icon

Proven experience in Production/Application Support within Capital Markets environments.

bullet icon

Hands-on experience managing End-of-Day (EOD) processing and batch support activities.

bullet icon

Experience with enterprise scheduling tools such as Control-M and/or AutoSys.

bullet icon

Strong experience in Incident Management, Problem Management, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Production Stability.

Experience working across Front Office, Middle Office, Back Office, Risk, and Trade Processing functions.

Good understanding of Fixed Income, FX, Derivatives, Money Markets, or other Capital Markets products.
