Group Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble, and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability, and innovation. In Group T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.
Manage the end-to-end deployment and delivery for a Change Release from deployment planning, setup & testing, pre-production readiness to production cutover.
Understand the solution, scope and deliverables of the release, review the implementation and cutover strategy and work towards executing a successful release.
Collaborate with Application and dev teams to meet the release objectives and schedule, and address issues that arise in the release through timely escalation.
Prepare and submit the necessary change requests for the deployment for the release, such as the Deployment Tickets, Change Request Portal, and Artefacts.
Deploy Changes into the infrastructure and set up according to the Bank policies/standards and approved process.
Manage risks and escalation encountered during release deployment and drive towards resolution.
Achieve target complete release deployment as per agreed schedule and plans.
Support installation , configuration & maintenance for of the Release UAT Environment.
Release UAT Systems support.
Patch Management
Addressing critical patches & deployment them with a proper plan.
Automate builds, deployments, and other aspects of the release lifecycle through CI/CD tools such as Git, Jenkins, and Jira.
Collaborate and work with the various application teams to develop, support, and manage the enterprise DevOps CI/CD pipeline and workflow.
Source code management and branching strategies with Bitbucket and GIT Bash.
Manage the various code scanning tools, OSS, Fortify, and SonarQube.
Day-to-day monitoring, backup, deployment, and maintenance of Release Environments.
Supports day to day testing activities for implementations, upgrades, weekly and monthly releases.
Must have
Must have 4 to 6 years of working experience, preferably in banking environments.
Proven experience in release management or a similar role within the software development industry.
Strong knowledge of release management best practices, version control systems, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
Experience with release automation tools and software development methodologies.
You should have operational experience, preferably in support of critical application systems, which will be an advantage.
Good knowledge of Linux/Unix, shell scripting, GIT, Jenkins, Enterprise Jira, Confluence
You should have an infrastructure/technical background with knowledge of the Open Systems platform and moderate information security knowledge
Have good skills in working with application teams and service providers in defining deployment plan, cutover/migration strategy, and test plan.
