Our Client a leading bank in Asia with a global network of more than 500 branches and offices in 19 countries and territories in Asia Pacific, Europe, and North America, are looking for Software Engineers.

The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance, and planning support and services. They work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising, and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Malaysia and overseas branches.

The client has more than 80 years of history in the banking industry and is expanding its footprint in Malaysia.
You will be working in a newly set-up technology centre located in Kuala Lumpur as part of Technology and Operations to deliver innovative financial technology solutions that enable business growth and technology transformation.

Responsibilities

Application Development

Develop and maintain Channels & EAI applications on AS400

Write and enhance programs using:

RPG

Java

Ensure system performance, stability, and scalability

Integration & Payments Processing

Work on enterprise integration flows (EAI) between:

Front-end channels (ATM, online, mobile)

Core banking systems

Support payment processing systems and transaction flows

Handle data exchange and system interfaces

Database & System Handling

Work with AS400 DB2 database

Perform:

Data processing

Batch jobs

Interface data handling

DevOps & Deployment

Support DevOps practices in AS400 environment

Use ALDON for:

Version control

Code migration

Deployment automation

Testing & Implementation

Perform unit testing

Support SIT/UAT phases

Assist in production deployment and validation

Collaboration

Work with:

Business teams

Integration teams

QA and support teams

Ensure timely delivery of enhancements and fixes

Skills

Must have

3-5 years of experience in AS400 development

Strong programming skills in:

RPG

C and/or Java

Strong knowledge of AS400 / DB2 environment

Experience in Application development and maintenance

Understanding of Payments systems and transaction processing

System integration (EAI concepts)

Hands-on experience with ALDON (deployment/version control tool)

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Good communication and teamwork

Ability to handle integration complexities

Attention to detail

Nice to have
