We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team and play a key role in managing, optimizing, and securing our database environments. You should have a strong hands-on expertise with Oracle databases, experience managing AWS RDS environments, and a foundational understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) concepts using Terraform. This role will be central to ensuring database availability, scalability, and performance, while supporting our adoption of Database-as-a-Service (DBaaS) models.
Administer, monitor, and maintain Oracle databases across on-premise and cloud environments.
Manage and optimize AWS RDS instances (performance tuning, patching, backup, scaling).
Ensure high availability, security, and compliance of database platforms.
Support the design and implementation of Database-as-a-Service (DBaaS) solutions.
Collaborate with infrastructure and DevOps teams on Terraform-based deployments.
Implement and manage database backup/recovery strategies and disaster recovery plans.
Monitor system health, performance metrics, and proactively resolve database issues.
Assist in database design, schema management, and query optimization.
Document database configurations, processes, and best practices.
Provide production support and on-call assistance when required.
Must have
Overall, 4+ years of experience as a Database Administrator.
Proven experience as a Database Administrator with deep knowledge of Oracle DB administration and tuning.
Hands-on experience with AWS RDS (Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL preferred).
Familiarity with Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code concepts (preferred, not mandatory).
Strong understanding of database security, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
Experience with monitoring and performance optimization tools.
Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and root-cause analysis skills.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities across technical and business teams.
