A leading bank in Australia is undertaking a major transformation program involving complex data migration, ETL, Enterprise Data Warehouse (DWH), and reporting solutions. We are looking for an experienced Data/ETL QA Lead with strong banking experience to lead end-to-end data testing, reconciliation, migration validation, ETL/DWH testing, and reporting validation across the program.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end Data, ETL, DWH, migration, reconciliation, and reporting testing across complex transformation programs.

bullet icon

Develop and execute comprehensive Test Strategies, Test Plans, Quality Gates, Dashboards, and Governance Reporting.

bullet icon

Lead data migration testing, including source-to-target validation, data reconciliation, transformation validation, completeness and accuracy checks.

bullet icon

Lead validation of ETL pipelines, data transformations, business rules, data interfaces, DWH layers, and downstream reporting.

bullet icon

Coordinate testing across source systems, integration platforms, data warehouses, reporting solutions, and upstream/downstream applications.

bullet icon

Manage System Testing (ST), SIT, UAT, Regression Testing, Production Verification, and associated test governance.

bullet icon

Define and manage complex data reconciliation and migration validation activities across multiple systems and data sources.

bullet icon

Identify, track, and mitigate testing risks, issues, dependencies, data quality concerns, and defects across multiple workstreams.

bullet icon

Ensure effective defect governance through defect triage, prioritisation, reporting, root-cause coordination, and resolution management.

bullet icon

Collaborate with business stakeholders, technology teams, data teams, vendors, and program leadership to ensure testing and quality objectives are achieved.

Provide regular status updates, quality assessments, test metrics, dashboards, and quality gate recommendations to program stakeholders.

Lead and coordinate cross-functional testing teams across multiple delivery streams and releases.

Skills

Must have

bullet icon

10+ years of experience in Test Management/Test Lead roles, including leadership of complex data and transformation testing programs.

bullet icon

Proven experience delivering large-scale banking or financial services transformation and migration programs.

bullet icon

Strong hands-on and leadership experience in Data, ETL, DWH, Data Migration, Reconciliation, and Reporting Testing.

bullet icon

Strong experience validating complex ETL processes, data transformations, source-to-target mappings, business rules, and data interfaces.

bullet icon

Proven experience with large-scale data migration testing, including reconciliation, completeness, accuracy, integrity, and transformation validation.

bullet icon

Strong experience validating Enterprise Data Warehouse (DWH) solutions and downstream reporting outputs.

bullet icon

Ability to define and execute complex reconciliation approaches across source, staging, transformation, target, and reporting layers.

bullet icon

Demonstrated ability to develop and execute Test Strategies, Test Plans, Quality Gate Assessments, Dashboards, and Governance Reporting.

Extensive experience in Defect Management, Risk Management, Issue Management, and Dependency Management across complex programs.

Proven experience managing ST, SIT, UAT, Regression Testing, Production Verification, and defect governance.

Strong stakeholder engagement and vendor management capability, including working with business, data, engineering, delivery, and third-party teams.

Strong analytical and problem-solving capability with the ability to investigate complex data quality, reconciliation, integration, and migration issues.

Excellent communication, leadership, and program coordination skills with experience leading cross-functional testing teams.

Ability to manage testing across multiple delivery streams, ensuring alignment of dependencies, risks, quality gates, and program milestones.

Banking or Financial Services domain experience is mandatory.
