Project description

There are 2 Projects which requires a Strong Business Analyst to support:
1. GCOP – The Global Compliance Platform (G-COP) program is a strategic initiative aimed at identifying, selecting, and implementing a unified suite of compliance systems. This platform will enable consistent and effective monitoring of Financial Crimes across the Bank’s international footprint. BA will be responsible for a variety of project documentation including authoring Target Operating Models
2. Kofax Fax upgrade - Technical upgrade of the Kofax application and supporting infrastructure to address End-of-Service-Life (ESoL) requirements. The project will ensure continued support for fax services. Require an experienced Business Analyst with requirements gathering, stakeholder management, process analysis, and documentation skills. Functional understanding of Kofax (but not crucial) and its business use cases, with the ability to assess current usage, validate requirements, and support future-state design. General technical awareness of application upgrades, infrastructure dependencies, integrations, and governance processes (including TDO reviews), working alongside technical SMEs where required.

Responsibilities

The BA will provide subject matter expertise and knowledge on Compliance processes and systems and work across complex projects for Compliance stakeholders. Business analysts are typically involved in all phases of the project life cycle, working closely with both the business users and the technology staff facilitating a clear understanding of the solution being delivered. This includes:

Performing requirements gathering and compiling formal Business Requirements & Functional Specification, Target Operating Model and Technical Design Overview documents. Seeking and gaining approvals for any such documentation

Covering all aspects of Business Analyst engagement throughout the Project Development Lifecycle including but not limited to:

Formulating and presenting proposed solutions to the business users

bullet icon

Formulating testing approaches and compiling test plans and test cases

bullet icon

Performing system integration testing and supporting business users with user acceptance testing

bullet icon

Compiling and presenting test results

bullet icon

Completing project/workstream status reports

bullet icon

Ensuring project documents are complete, current, and appropriately stored

bullet icon

Escalating issues/risks to project/line management

bullet icon

Providing subject matter expertise to support TEC initiatives, as required e.g. presenting solutions to other parts of the organisation

General technical awareness of application upgrades, integration & infrastructure dependencies

bullet icon

Promote a dynamic, delivery driven culture that works alongside business units to provide responsive resolutions and value driven solutions.

Comply with relevant security and compliance procedures

Skills

Must have

bullet icon

MUST HAVE: Experience as a Business Analyst in bank/financial services

bullet icon

Able to quickly get up to speed on new subject areas and has excellent documentation skills. Essential

Business analysis experience working for a top tier bank or consultancy

bullet icon

Experience in Financial Crime (AML, KYC and Sanctions screening) is desirable to ensure quick understanding of content and anticipating risks or issues

An understanding of the project life cycle and experience of compiling proposal, scope, requirements and testing documents

Product knowledge incorporating some of the following: Bonds, Derivatives, Securities Financing, FX and Loans and Deposits

A good understanding of the scope and purpose of the core banking functions

Experience performing data analysis and reconciliation

Knowledge of SQL (able to query and examine data, rather than build solutions)

Ability and experience of working under pressure

Ability to liaise with business and IT stakeholders at all levels of the organization
