We are seeking a dedicated Cloud Support Engineer to manage patching, maintenance, and overall server management for cloud-based infrastructure. This offshore role requires expertise in both Azure and AWS server technologies with a focus on maintaining security, compliance, and operational excellence across all server environments.
Server Management: Administer and maintain Windows and Linux servers on Azure and AWS platforms
Patch Management: Plan, test, and deploy security patches and updates across all server environments
Maintenance Activities: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including system updates, configuration changes, and health checks
Monitoring and Alerting: Implement comprehensive server monitoring and proactive alerting systems
Security Compliance: Ensure servers comply with security policies and industry standards
Capacity Management: Monitor server performance and plan for capacity upgrades
Incident Response: Provide timely response to server-related incidents and outages
Automation: Develop scripts and automation for routine maintenance tasks
Documentation: Maintain server inventory, configuration documentation, and procedures
Vendor Coordination: Coordinate with cloud providers for support and escalations
Must have
Experience: 6 to 8 years of server administration experience in cloud environments
Cloud Platforms: Strong knowledge of Azure Virtual Machines and AWS EC2 services
Operating Systems: Expertise in Windows Server and Linux administration
Patch Management: Experience with Windows Update Services, WSUS, or similar tools
Scripting: Proficiency in PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar automation tools
Monitoring: Experience with server monitoring tools and SIEM solutions
Networking: Understanding of cloud networking concepts and troubleshooting
Certifications: Microsoft Azure Administrator, AWS SysOps Administrator, or equivalent (preferred)
Configuration Management: Experience with Ansible, Puppet, or similar tools (preferred)
Containerization: Knowledge of Docker and container orchestration platforms (preferred)
Security Tools: Familiarity with vulnerability scanning and security assessment tools (preferred)
ITIL Certification: Understanding of ITIL processes and incident management (preferred)
Backup Solutions: Experience with cloud backup and disaster recovery solutions (preferred)
