Our client is a leading global Financial market data provider who runs a number of programs to deliver high-quality software that connects Financial Markets across the globe in a real-time, high-frequency, and low-latency data management chain.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will combine strong technical and collaboration skills in a demanding and dynamic environment. You will work directly with your team and with groups across the organisation to ensure the best service for our client base.

You will be a member of a multi-skilled team building and maintaining components for our market leading our system. We strive for our engineers to work within agile teams that emphasize standard process and believe quality is everyone's responsibility. They bring an enthusiastic attitude whilst making sure they share their knowledge while removing constraints.

Key Responsibilities:

Modernising the build system, including consolidation of Make files and migration to CMake or Bazel.

bullet icon

Enhancing CI/CD processes with faster build times, robust pipelines, and reliable nightly builds.

bullet icon

Modernising C/C Plus Plus; code through the adoption of STL, modern memory management, modern

bullet icon

threading, and the GCC C Plus Plus;20 compiler.

bullet icon

Assessing existing scheduling approaches and proposing cloud‑native alternatives.

bullet icon

Decomposing a monolithic architecture into defined, modular components with clear interfaces.

bullet icon

Decoupling databases and RPC dependencies and recommending Azure‑aligned services and patterns.

bullet icon

Defining a scalable and resilient distribution model, including container scale‑out, data locality, routing,

bullet icon

and resilience.

bullet icon

Enabling deployment to Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).

Integrating and connecting existing data sources within the modernised architecture.

The candidates will work from the offices in New York or London.
