Our Client a leading bank in Asia with a global network of more than 500 branches and offices in 19 countries and territories in Asia Pacific, Europe, and North America, are looking for Consultants to be part of the project

The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance, and planning support and services. They work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising, and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Malaysia and overseas branches.

The client has more than 80 years of history in the banking industry and is expanding its footprint in Malaysia.
You will be working in a newly set-up technology centre located in Kuala Lumpur as part of Technology and Operations to deliver innovative financial technology solutions that enable business growth and technology transformation.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and enhance applications related to Local and Bill Payment in the Core Banking ecosystem.

Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards, performance optimization, and maintainability.

Collaborate with functional teams to support Cash Management, Rate Provision, GIRO, and Instant Payment solutions.

Work on Remittance systems (good to have) to extend support across payment services.

bullet icon

Perform RPG development and DB2 programming on AS400 systems.

bullet icon

Participate in application maintenance, troubleshooting, and issue resolution at L3 level.

bullet icon

Provide mentorship to junior developers and guide them on technical best practices.

bullet icon

Support DevOps integration, deployment automation (ALDON), and ARCAD-based code management where applicable.

Prepare and maintain technical documentation, design specs, and knowledge base.

Skills

Must have

bullet icon

6 to 9 years of experience in AS400 development with strong expertise in RPG and DB2.

bullet icon

Deep understanding of Local and Bill Payment systems (mandatory).

bullet icon

Exposure to Cash Management/Rate Provision or GIRO & Instant Payment processes.

bullet icon

Strong skills in code review and quality assurance practices.

bullet icon

Familiarity with DevOps, ALDON, and ARCAD is an added advantage.

Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
