This role sits within a small team (~5) supporting Public Markets activities in a Singapore sovereign fund.
The focus is on public markets instruments, investment operations, reporting, and enabling data-driven decision-making for front and middle office teams.

Responsibilities
bullet icon

Provide subject matter expertise on public market instruments and investment data logic, ensuring data and reporting outputs reflect real-world market and operational behavior.

Prepare, align and maintain analysis-ready public markets data and diagnostics to support and enable front and middle-office teams.

bullet icon

Translate client-driven questions and requirements into structured data, metrics, and analytical scaffolding that allow downstream analysis.

Contribute to the building and maintenance of reporting/analytical datasets and schemas used for recurring reporting, dashboards, and ad-hoc analysis.

Diagnose recurring issues in BAU reporting or processes through data-driven root-cause analysis, identifying underlying drivers rather than surface-level symptoms.

Contribute to business analysis responsibilities such as problem framing, requirement clarification, and analytical scoping while remaining primarily hands-on and execution oriented.

Skills

Must have

6–8 years (indicative) of combined experience in:

asset management environments, or

bullet icon

data analyst / business analyst roles directly supporting front or middle office teams, with hands-on responsibility for investment or operational data

bullet icon

Strong practical understanding of public markets instruments and related processes, with depth in some of: equities, derivatives (options/futures), FX, fixed income.

Advanced SQL proficiency, including joins, CTEs, window functions, and working with imperfect or evolving data models

bullet icon

Demonstrated analytical rigor, including the ability to perform root-cause analysis on recurring issues in BAU data, reporting, or processes.

Ability to operate effectively under ambiguity with limited guidance

bullet icon

Strong communication skills, particularly in explaining data logic, assumptions, and limitations to clients

Nice to have
