We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst (BA) with strong expertise in Counterparty Credit Risk (CCR) and SA-CCR (Standardised Approach for Counterparty Credit Risk) within a banking environment. The successful candidate will work closely with Risk, Finance, Regulatory Reporting, Front Office, Technology, and Data teams to support the implementation, enhancement, and ongoing maintenance of SA-CCR calculation, reporting, and regulatory compliance capabilities.
Experience with Moody's RiskAuthority, RiskConfidence, or other Moody's risk solutions is advantageous but not mandatory.
Similarly, the Dubai authorities will transition from optional to mandatory e-invoicing starting with a pilot in July 2026 and a phased roll out from Jan 2027.
The Business Analyst (BA) will play a key role in analysing, documenting and translating regulatory requirements for the implementation of the e-Invoicing and e-Reporting mandates, as well as testing them in conjunction with the chosen vendor. The BA will work closely with Compliance, Tax, Finance, Legal and IT teams to ensure full alignment with the requirements as well as internal business operations across impacted locations.
The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that IT processes, controls, and practices align with regulatory requirements, helping safeguard our digital platform and maintain compliance across all IT operations.
Business Analysis & Requirements Management
Gather, analyse, and document business requirements related to SA-CCR, CCR, and regulatory capital calculations.
Facilitate workshops with Risk, Finance, Regulatory Reporting, Trading, and Technology stakeholders.
Produce high-quality business requirements documents (BRDs), functional specifications, user stories, process flows, and data mapping documents.
Translate regulatory requirements into business and functional requirements.
SA-CCR & Counterparty Credit Risk
Support the implementation and enhancement of SA-CCR calculation frameworks.
Analyse Exposure at Default (EAD), Replacement Cost (RC), Potential Future Exposure (PFE), and multiplier calculations.
Understand and document netting agreements, collateral treatment, margining arrangements, and hedging impacts under SA-CCR.
Support regulatory interpretation and impact assessments relating to Basel III/IV and counterparty credit risk requirements.
Assist with model validation, testing, and reconciliation activities.
Data Analysis & Data Governance
Perform data analysis and data lineage investigations across risk and source systems.
Define data requirements, mappings, transformations, and reconciliation controls.
Collaborate with Data Governance and Technology teams to improve data quality and controls.
Support traceability from source systems through risk engines to regulatory reporting outputs.
Stakeholder Management
Act as the liaison between business users, risk SMEs, technology teams, and vendors.
Support project governance, issue management, and stakeholder communications.
Provide business support during UAT, go-live, and post-production phases.
Testing & Validation
Define test scenarios and expected outcomes for SA-CCR calculations.
Support SIT, UAT, reconciliation testing, and regulatory reporting validation.
Investigate and resolve calculation discrepancies and data issues.
Must have
MUST HAVE:
(1) Strong understanding of SA-CCR regulations and methodologies.
(2) Experience in Counterparty Credit Risk (CCR) within Investment Banking,
(3) Capital Markets/Banking, or Treasury environments.
Knowledge of:
Exposure at Default (EAD)
Potential Future Exposure (PFE)
Replacement Cost (RC)
Netting and collateral agreements
Margining and initial margin concepts
Basel III / Basel IV capital regulations
Business Analysis
Proven experience as a Business Analyst within Risk, Regulatory, or Capital projects.
Strong requirements gathering and documentation skills.
Experience producing BRDs, FSDs, user stories, process maps, and data mappings.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Data & Technology
Strong SQL skills for data analysis and reconciliation.
Experience with data lineage, data mapping, and data quality analysis.
Familiarity with risk data warehouses and regulatory reporting architectures.
Experience working within Agile and/or Waterfall delivery methodologies.
Nice to have
Experience with Moody's RiskAuthority, RiskConfidence, or other Moody's risk management solutions.
Knowledge of IMM, CVA, Market Risk, or Capital Reporting frameworks.
Experience supporting regulatory remediation or Basel transformation programmes.
