We are seeking an experienced Axiom Tester to join our team focused on regulatory reporting for Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and Interest Rate Risk in the Banking Book (IRRBB). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Axiom Controller View, regulatory compliance, and financial risk reporting. As part of the testing team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of the reports generated using the Axiom platform, while also working closely with the development and regulatory teams to meet the dynamic needs of ESG and IRRBB reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

Axiom Testing for ESG and IRRBB Reporting:

Conduct end-to-end testing of ESG and IRRBB reports generated by the Axiom Controller View platform.

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for ESG and IRRBB reporting, identifying any gaps in data or reporting logic.

Collaborate with business analysts, data analysts and vendor (AXIOM) to validate data sources, calculations, and report formats.

Test Case Development:

Develop and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for ESG and IRRBB reporting processes.

Identify test data requirements and ensure test environments are accurately set up for Axiom testing scenarios.

Create reusable test scripts to automate reporting tests for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.

Data Validation and Reconciliation:

Validate data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes to ensure the integrity of ESG and IRRBB reporting data.

Reconcile Axiom reports with source systems and financial statements to ensure accurate regulatory submissions.

Defect Management:

bullet icon

Identify, log, and track defects using appropriate testing tools, ensuring prompt resolution with the development team.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to reporting functionality, calculations, and data integrity.

Regulatory Compliance:

bullet icon

Stay updated on the latest regulatory requirements for ESG and IRRBB reporting.

bullet icon

Ensure all testing activities align with applicable regulatory guidelines (e.g., BCBS 239, EU Taxonomy, TCFD for ESG, Basel guidelines for IRRBB).

Collaboration and Reporting:

Communicate test results and provide regular progress updates to stakeholders, including risk managers, regulatory teams, and senior leadership.

Assist in preparing and submitting documentation for audit and regulatory reviews.

Work with the IT team to implement system enhancements and resolve any software-related issues impacting report generation.

Skills

Must have

Overall 2-3 years of experience working as a tester with the Axiom Controller View platform (ideally with some experience as Business Analyst as well)

bullet icon

Proven experience in testing and validating regulatory reports, particularly ESG and IRRBB. Experience in Capital/ Liquidity/ Finstat/ PRA 110 will be beneficial too

Experience with regulatory reporting frameworks (ESG regulations, Basel III, IRRBB guidelines).

Technical Skills:

Strong expertise in Axiom SL Controller View and its reporting functionalities.

Proficiency in SQL and data validation techniques.

Familiarity with ETL processes, data modelling, and financial risk reporting systems.

Hands-on experience with test management tools (e.g., HP ALM, Jira, or similar).

Soft Skills:

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.

Strong communication skills, capable of articulating complex testing issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, regulatory-driven environment.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Computer Science, or a related field.

A relevant certification (e.g., CFA, FRM, PRM) is a plus.

Knowledge of global ESG reporting frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD) and standards.
