We are seeking an experienced Avaloq Developer with deep specialism in tax and capital gains calculation modules - specifically CGCalc and/or CGiX - to support a major financial services organization. This is a high-impact engagement requiring strong technical and domain expertise in Avaloq's tax architecture.
The successful candidate will conduct an initial assessment of the current tax calculation architecture within Avaloq, evaluating existing system design, data flows, and integration points. Based on this assessment, they will produce a proposal identifying the optimal target system architecture going forward, weighing the trade-offs between continuing with the existing setup versus transitioning to an alternative. The role also involves working closely with stakeholders across tax, technology, and operations to validate findings and ensure recommendations are commercially and technically sound, along with producing clear documentation suitable for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Must have
Mandatory: 3+ years of hands-on experience with Avaloq Banking Suite
Mandatory: Hands-on experience with CGCalc and/or CGiX
Strong understanding of investment tax principles, capital gains computation, and regulatory reporting requirements in the financial services sector
Ability to assess legacy or complex system landscapes and convert analysis into clear, actionable recommendations
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to explain technical findings to both business and technical stakeholders
Prior experience with system migration or transformation initiatives in financial services is a strong advantage
Knowledge of Avaloq scripting (ALES) and related development tools is preferred
