We're looking for a highly motivated Automation Engineer to join Luxoft!
You will support the development, maintenance, and troubleshooting of automation solutions for automotive multimedia head units for one of the largest Japanese OEMs.
This role will work closely with the lead developer to implement code changes, provide technical support to tool users, and ensure high-quality automation software through testing, debugging, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Support the lead developer with code writing, updates, and modifications

Provide technical support to users of automation tools and platforms

Perform quality assurance, troubleshooting, and software development for automation solutions used in automotive multimedia head units

Investigate issues, identify root causes, and deliver timely resolutions

bullet icon

Collaborate with stakeholders to improve tools, workflows, and overall productivity

bullet icon

Contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of automation systems and related applications

bullet icon

Support continuous improvement initiatives across the automation workspace

Skills

Must have

bullet icon

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Electronics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

bullet icon

5+ years of experience in Python scripting, preferably in automotive domain

bullet icon

High proficiency in Python to automate day to day tasks and testing activities.

Familiarity with automotive software development environments

bullet icon

Experience supporting production tools or internal automation platforms

bullet icon

Exposure to CI/CD, debugging tools, and version control systems such as Git

bullet icon

Working experience with Agile methodology

bullet icon

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and solve issues in a timely manner

Proactive mindset with a focus on improving tools, processes, and work environment

bullet icon

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with relevant stakeholders

Experience with FastAPI

Experience working in Linux environments

Experience with React/TypeScript development

Working experience with hardware control scripting (I2C, GVIF, Serial)
