Our Client a leading bank in Asia with a global network of more than 500 branches and offices in 19 countries and territories in Asia Pacific, Europe, and North America, are looking for Consultants to be part of the project.
The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance, and planning support and services. They work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising, and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Malaysia and overseas branches.
The client has more than 80 years of history in the banking industry and is expanding its footprint in Malaysia.
You will be working in a newly set-up technology centre located in Kuala Lumpur as part of Technology and Operations to deliver innovative financial technology solutions that enable business growth and technology transformation.
Provide L3 production support for REM & ROS (Payments) applications in the Loans sub-domain.
Perform incident analysis, root cause identification, and implement permanent fixes.
Handle batch monitoring, job failures, and system alerts on AS400/DB2 platforms.
Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to ensure high system availability.
Execute ITIL processes such as incident, problem, and change management.
Prepare and maintain support documentation, job control scripts, and operational runbooks.
Participate in system upgrades, patch deployments, and DR activities.
Ensure compliance with banking standards, SLAs, and audit requirements.
Must have
3-5 years of experience in application maintenance / production support in a Core Banking
Loans or Payments environment.
Strong hands-on experience in COBOL and RPG programming on AS400 systems.
Proficiency in DB2 queries, debugging, and performance optimization.
Experience with AS400 operating system commands, job scheduling, and monitoring tools.
Knowledge of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management).
Ability to analyze logs, identify recurring issues, and provide permanent solutions.
Strong analytical and communication skills with a focus on quality and SLA adherence.
Nice to have
Prior experience in banking applications such as Loans or Payments modules.
Exposure to automation or monitoring tools for AS400.
Basic understanding of JIRA / ServiceNow for ticket management.
ITIL Foundation certification.
