DXC-Luxoft is looking for an experienced Appian Developer to be part of our growing Appian Digital Automation Practice in India. You will have the opportunity to work with a reputed global clientele of ours on automation and digital transformation projects.

Responsibilities

Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements, clarify use cases, and document business, functional, and non-functional needs.

Design, develop, configure, test, deploy, and enhance Appian-based BPM applications, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.

Build and maintain database components—including stored procedures, views, and triggers—to support workflow and application functionality.

Monitor and improve database performance by identifying issues, analyzing root causes, and implementing corrective actions.

bullet icon

Support workflow analysis and process modeling activities using SQL Server and SQL Management Studio.

bullet icon

Convert BPM requirements into high-quality, scalable Appian applications that deliver strong performance and user experience.

bullet icon

Contribute to project delivery in Agile or Waterfall environments, depending on project requirements.

bullet icon

Participate in technical design reviews to ensure solutions align with architectural guidelines and development standards.

bullet icon

Engage in daily development tasks within the Appian BPM team, contributing to coding, reviews, testing, and documentation.

Collaborate with application support teams during development, deployment, and post-deployment support phases.

Skills

Must have

bullet icon

Possess 3+ years of software engineering experience with strong proficiency in one or more technologies such as Appian, scripting languages, REST API services, Java, and JavaScript.

Bring at least 1 year of hands-on Appian development experience.

bullet icon

Successfully completed at least four end-to-end Appian project implementations.

bullet icon

Demonstrate solid expertise in integrations using Web APIs and Appian Integration objects, with the ability to customize solutions for external systems.

Have a strong understanding of database concepts and practical experience working with stored procedures, triggers, views, and complex joins; familiarity with Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, or MariaDB is a plus.

Demonstrate strong expertise across Appian components, including Process Models, Process Reports, Rules and Expressions, Records, Decisions, Web APIs, Integrations, Complex Data Types, XSDs, SQL, Inter Process Communication (IPC), Role Based Access Control (RBAC), and advanced process reporting on Appian 23.x and above.

SQL Proficiency in writing and tuning complex queries, analyzing execution plans, and optimizing DB performance across major RDBMS.
