Luxoft Autonomous Drive, a department of Luxoft's Automotive Line of Business, is an expert and delivery center for design, implementation and test of embedded architecture and software solutions for automotive systems. Our international team is based in various locations all over Europe and working with car manufacturers (OEMS) and suppliers (Tier1s) from all over the world.

We are searching for a test automation engineer to increase our current development team in a customer project and add more automated tests to it. Main focus is the test design and automation for a SDK/IDE platform based on Visual Studio Code (VS Code), designed for automotive engineers. The IDE allows plugins for new use cases, data inputs and code generators. The platform is part of a bigger SDK for automotive software development. VSC is in fact a web application packed with electron and therefore usable also from a browser and testable with selenium.

Overall Project Goals:
Enable automotive engineers to develop embedded software by offering a SW Platform and SDK for a big German Car manufacturer (OEM)

Responsibilities

Coordinate, control and drive test automation activities in the project
Define test automation architecture
Automate manual test cases
Estimate the time needed for test automation activities
Help in design and execute test plans and test cases for automated testing
Choose and adapt technologies and methods for test automation
Cooperate closely with developers on different stages of the project
Clearly describe found defects

Skills

---

Must have

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
Knowledge of testing life cycle, methodologies and terminology
1+ years of solid hands-on experience in automated software testing
1+ years of experience with Python
Good communication skills in both written and verbal form
Fluent English

Nice to have

Experience in designing, developing and maintaining of automated testing framework, harness and tool set
Experience with Selenium
Experience with Jenkins CI/CD
Visual Studio Code
Experience in GUI testing
Working in Linux environment
ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level, Automotive tester, Agile tester or similar desirable
