Developing, maintaining and supporting RLAM Business systems; which cover all in house developed applications on the MS .NET and SQL technology stack.
Reporting into the Business Application Development Lead, the purpose of this role is to contribute to design, implementation, testing and maintenance of in-house built RLAM applications and software systems. Key focus of this role is on delivery of robust solutions while adhering to best development practices and industry standards.

The focus is to build a centralised RLAM data access framework with input to solution design and defining core approach; Skill sets required in database design, development of Restful APIs using.NET core.

Responsibilities

---

• Delivery of project change - commitment to project milestones and estimates
• Maintenance and resolution of application back log for each application.
• Unit testing coverage - Create unit and integration tests as part of development lifecycle
• Code usage analysis - Improve and maintain code coverage for all existing applications
• Controlled and documented build and release management process - Participate in creating TFS automated build configurations
• Participate in creating Release Manager deployment pipelines
• Contribution to team scrums, meetings and participating in decision making - peer review
• Support to colleagues by giving and receiving constructive feedback that is sensitive, meaningful, accurate, reinforcing and timely - peer review
• The ability to work closely with Business Users, Business Analysts, Project Managers, Test and Application Support Teams. - peer feedback and review
• Feedback from end users. - peer feedback and review
• The ability to work both autonomously whilst being part of a team. - peer feedback and review

Skills

Must have

Must be able to demonstrate:
• Good understanding of Software Development Lifecycle
• Good understanding of design patterns and best development practices
• Practical development experience with Microsoft .NET Framework and .NET Core 3.1+ in particular
• Practical development experience with MS SQL/T-SQL (preferably 2019)
• Practical development experience with NoSQL platforms
• Integration and build of Rest APIs in .Net Core 3.1 or higher, MQ and use of JSON or common message formatting
• Angular 6 or higher
• ORMs, Entity Framework
• Testing Frameworks e.g. MS Test, xUNIT
• Azure DevOps, MS Build

Knowledge and experience of:
• Deployment, hosting and configuration of .net services in Azure
• Containerisation (preferably Docker)
• Azure API Gateway
• PowerShell

Nice to have

• Experience within asset management or equivalent investment business
• Excellent problem solving and decision making skills
• Excellent communication skills with both a technical and non-technical audience
• Keen to learn new software development techniques, technologies and best practices
