Our client, a large international commodity trading company, is expanding its internal software development team and is looking for Senior System Analyst to be responsible for gathering and analysis of functional requirements for the trading area.

Responsibilities

---

Key Responsibilities
- Primary responsibility is the determination & clear articulation of business requirements for the trading area
- Close engagement with the functional architecture & business process re-engineering teams to agree on a logical design of the solution
- Quality assurance of any technical requirements produced by off-shore teams against business requirements produced through business engagements
- Key point of functional escalation for technical and QA teams during requirement development & testing

Key Relationships
- Close relationships with business stakeholders and key users
- Robust collaborative relationship with architects, developers, project managers & other business analysts
- Testing and training groups

- Delivery focus

- Good communicator & engaging
- Ability to make decisions & thrive in a fast paced environment

Skills

---

Must have

- Proven ability to act as a bridge between the business, business analysts and highly technical developers located in remote offices, performing system analysis of requirements
- Expected to have 3+ years' experience of system analysis in a commercial environment
- Track record of working in a team that has delivered large scale applications, to agreed timescales and to agreed quality standards
- Experience of a variety of software development methodologies (e.g. continuous integration, iterative development)
- Good English written and verbal communication skills
- Strong academic background in a subject that demonstrates the need for logical thinking, precise understanding and clear articulation
- Good IT background with the focus on integration technologies, data models design and implementation.
