About the Engagement
Luxoft, through its Australian subsidiary Excelian Luxoft Financial Services, has won a multi-year engagement with a leading financial services institution in Australia. Focussed on delivering projects and programs of work in 4 key areas in the Institutional Banking and Markets space - Fixed Income, Commodities and Currencies (FICC), Foreign Exchange (FX), Risk and Digital - the engagement is taking the client on a journey of successful delivery of programs in a distributed agile delivery model across onsite and offshore teams. Critical to the success of the engagement are smart technologists who have the capability, experience, passion and drive to make a difference to the technology landscape and delivery culture of a leading financial services organization.

Responsibilities

---

• Analyse systems and applications and provide recommendations for enhancement and development
• Contribute to the technical design of system enhancements
• Software development and quality control of software developed by geographically disperse team
• Work within in a team environment and provide assistance in the management and leadership of your team and complete associated tasks
• Follow release and change processes in the compilation and distribution of software builds and releases to development and test environments, as well as system updates into production
• Troubleshoot complex deployment and environment issues.
• Assist with preparation and documentation of deployment and configuration scripts for development, test and production environments

Undertake any other tasks assigned by your manager that you have the capability to perform safely in line with relevant internal Group policies and external regulatory requirements.

ROLE SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Senior Full Stack Java Developer
• Develop and maintain Java and Java Script based web application to meet challenging business requirements.
• Be responsible for the code quality, performance and security.
• Maintain code version history, automate testing.
• Coordinate deployments with stakeholders.
• Participate in testing at various levels, including SIT, ST, UAT and Post release verification

Skills

---

Must have

• Experience in Java, Hibernate, Spring and REST API with at least 6 yrs of exp
• Experience in UI development using Java Script frameworks (preferably Angular using typescript) , HTML5 and CSS
• Experience in SQL in Oracle or similar database technology.
• Experience in writing automated tests at multiple levels (unit, integration, e2e)
• Understanding of design principles, object oriented concepts and application security concepts

Nice to have

• Continuous integration using Team City/Jenkins
• Familiar with tools like IntelliJ IDEA, Maven, JIRA, GIT, Artifactory
• Tertiary qualifications in IT or Computer Science or equivalent certification
