The Risk and Finance solutions team requires a Senior Engineer to work on their Liquidity and Capital Enhancements and Regulatory reporting Programs.The Data Engineer will support BI developers, database architects, data analysts and data scientists on data initiatives and will ensure optimal data delivery architecture is consistent throughout ongoing projects

Responsibilities

---

• Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture, assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements.
• Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
• Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and Hadoop technologies.
• Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency and other key business performance metrics.
• Work with project team including the Executive, Product, Data and Design teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.
• Create data tools for analytics and data scientist team members that assist them in building and optimizing our product into an innovative industry leader.
• Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems

Skills

Must have

Microstrategy resource
5-8 year experience in microstrategy 10.x and above
1. knowledge in Microstrategy Administration
2. setting up metadata for deriving Facts dimensions hierarchies
3. setting up custom metrics/filters
4. experience in data analysis
5. setting up different report types
6. setting up security across Microstrategy dashboards

Data science engineer
1. 5-8 experience in hadoop hdfs using hive and spark
2. excellent data analysis skills
3. hands on experience in SQL
4. experience in any scripting language preferably python
5. machine learning/predictive analytics would be additional
