Project Description


Variety of projects implementing PLM solutions across the defense manufacturing industry. Role is that of solution architect to design solutions and oversee architecture of the solutions during implementations.

Responsibilities


    • Closely work with the PLM implementation team that consists of internal business teams from RD, Quality, and Supply Chain operations, the IT team, and external consultants, and lead the requirement gathering workshops and solution design sessions.
    • Elaborate and map business requirements into functional and technical solutions.
    • Serve as an internal subject matter expert (SME) for all PLM process domains including Configuration Management, Product Quality Management, Requirements Management, Design Management, Product Compliance and Product Portfolio Management.
    • Responsible for feasibility analysis, solution design and driving the selection, implementation of new software, functionality, or enhancement
    • As a lead technical architect for the practice PLM solution, work with internal and external technical teams, other PLM team members on all technical solutions.
    • Lead the technical design and development of the integration between PLM solutions and boundary systems.
    • Responsible for identifying and designing reports and analytics.
    • Possess Project Management Capabilities
    • Establishes credibility at all levels with clients and builds problem-solving partnerships with clients and colleagues (Relationship Management).
    • Understands sales process, information and support requirements, and assists sales staff in identifying leads (Leverage).
    • Communicates in formal presentation settings including medium sized groups, internal and external project teams and business unit events; develops written communications to address varied styles and information needs (Communication).

Skills


Must have

    • Siemens Teamcenter and/or Enovia knowledge
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related discipline is required (Master's degree or equivalent is desirable)
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in enterprise business application design and systems development, including implementation of enterprise PLM systems
    • Minimum of 7 years of project management responsibility, demonstrating leadership skills and possessing a track record of managing technical staff
    • Experience in the manufacturing industry
    • Strong analysis and design skills
    • Good communication skills
    • Ability to manage competing priorities in a complex environment
    • Ability to devise creative business solutions
    • Ability to convey a strong presence, professional image, and deal confidently with complex business problems
    • Willingness to travel
