The Manual Test Engineer's primary responsibilities will be to execute manual tests to ensure product quality. The ideal candidate will have a provable track record of designing, implementing, and executing testing for sophisticated software architectures and executing/analyzing test reports. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can work both independently and within a team environment.
What you'll do:
Collaborate with QA, development, and functional teams to gain a deep understanding of end-to-end system functionality.
Develop and implement comprehensive manual test suites for both new and modified functionality.
Design and execute test cases, scenarios, and scripts to validate the performance, functionality, and usability of Android and HMI applications.
Identify and report potential quality issues following established processes and promptly escalate critical issues to management.
Participate in defect lifecycle management, from discovery and documentation to resolution and validation.
Create, maintain, and update detailed test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
Analyze and communicate test results effectively to cross-functional teams, providing insights for decision-making and continuous improvement.
Bachelor's or Master's Degree either in CS, EE, or EC Engineering
Basic understanding of the Scrum methodology
Experience working with Configuration Management Systems "CMS" (preferably Jira, and Confluence)
Manual testing experience of Android devices or applications on Android devices.
Knowledge of testing concepts (functional/non-functional testing, unit testing, system testing, regression testing, defect lifecycle)
Experience creating, documenting, and executing unit/component/functional tests
Experience in Behavioral Driven Development "BDD" (e.g. Cucumber)
Nice to have
Experience working with ADB (Android Debug Bridge) commands
Experience using Software Version Control experience (Git)
Experience developing Python/Ruby scripts
Basic knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts
Experience working with test automation frameworks (e.g. Robot, Appium, Espresso)
