Project Description


Strategic Data Platform is the major Big Data platform that provides critical functionality for investment bank data analytics-driven legal and compliance function. The main objective of the project is to design and implement critical data sourcing from global upstream systems into local data platform. Project activities will include data discovery, preparing, reviewing and submitting Cross-Data Approval request, establishing formal data governance and data quality processes for data flow, capturing Critical Data Elements and mapping to them to the business requirements, establishing connectivity between Source Systems and Strategic Data Platform and technical ingestion of the upstream data into the platform.

Responsibilities


    • Developing, maintaining and extracting knowledge from strategic internal and external data sets
    • Studying fundamental and high impact business questions that directly impact the direction of the company and industry at large
    • Developing and designing algorithms, build prototype versions, run multiple validations with business experts and work on operationalization
    • Be a part of an open-minded team with a strong team spirit that acts in a versatile, dynamic, and flexible working environment

Skills


Must have

    • A PhD or Master degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Mathematics, Economics) or Information Technology
    • Experience in Statistical Modelling (Classification, Scorecard Models, Segmentation, Clustering, Bayesian statistics), Anomaly Detection, and/or Machine Learning algorithms both Supervised and Unsupervised
    • SQL and relational database programming skills and distributed computing platforms, query interfaces such as MapReduce, Pig or/and Hive
    • Ability to assemble data sets from disparate sources and analyze using appropriate quantitative methodologies, computational frameworks and systems
    • Experience BigData/Hadoop ecosystem
    • Expertise in text mining, natural language processing
    • Python, PySpark
    • Fluency in English (written and spoken)
    • People management abilities and communication skills enable you to collaborate effectively and to build up professional relationships even with senior level executives
    • High-level of confidentiality, integrity and responsibility enable you to deal with critical and confidential data
    • As demonstrated standout colleague, self-starter and independent thinker you are willing to cooperate in a highly collaborative environment and to contribute to the team's success
