Data and Analytics has become an integral part of Financial Services, and Luxoft has an award-winning global Data and Analytics capability. We are running a range of different projects and engagements, across Financial Services.
Luxoft is looking for a US-based Analytics and Data Lead, with domain knowledge in some or all or banking, capital markets and insurance, who has the skills and knowledge to service our US clients. You will become an important part of our global team, participate in global product rollouts, and build a focussed and high-functioning team.
Our ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, ideally grounded in data science, and with familiarity and exposure to other important parts of real-world analytics projects, such as data architecture, data engineering, software development, and DevOps (MLOps) for machine learning.
You will be leading data science consultancy engagements and projects for our US clients. In particular, you will be leading data science projects from inception to deployment, and driving the business forward. You will be working with leading financial services organizations in the region, and collaborating with other teams in our practice. You will build out, or assist in building out, our US practice.
We are interested in hearing from individuals with a strong technical background, and also management, communication and leadership abilities. A background in financial services would be advantageous.
You will work alongside a strong, global team of people with diverse backgrounds and skills in analytics and data science to:
◆ Lead and execute data science projects in Financial Services
◆ Act as Product Owner and SME for some of our product lines
◆ Build out, or assist in building out, our US consultancy practice
◆ Build related capabilities where necessary, or find and engage the appropriate internal teams (for example, for MLOps, cloud infrastructure, etc)
You will assist the global practice in:
◆ Building out our US capability
◆ Developing practice thought leadership and enablement materials, participating in pre-sales work and client work as necessary
◆ Discovering and verifying opportunities for new business, in conjunction with Sales
◆ You will collaborate with business and technology partners to grow and develop the data science practice
◆ Strong background in data science, including Machine Learning
◆ Proven ability to lead data science projects, and build out a local data science practice
◆ Hands-on experience applying machine learning techniques, as well as experience in implementing and deploying production projects
◆ Solid engineering and scripting skills in one or more of Python, R, SAS, Matlab and SPSS
◆ Excellent analytical skills
◆ Strong communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written. The successful candidates will be expected to communicate effectively with both business and technical teams
◆ Post-graduate degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Computational Statistics, Physics, Operations Research or other similar quantitative field
◆ At least four years of experience in data and data science
◆ At least two years of experience in management / leadership roles
Nice to have
◆ Experience in one or more commercial platforms, eg Dataiku, Watson, DataRobot, H20.ai, Knime etc.
◆ Experience in visualizing and communicating data using tools such as Qlik, Tableau, PowerBI or similar.
◆ Experience in using mainstream computer languages, eg Java, C# etc.
◆ At least some exposure to Data Engineering
◆ Background or experience with big data & cloud architectures
◆ Experience in projects involving cross-functional teams
