As part of our strategic partnership with one of the biggest financial institutions in the World, we are hiring various IT specialists, who will become part of their new IT Service Center in Sofia. The bank is an international organization dedicated to providing financing, advice, and research to developing nations to aid their economic advancement. The bank predominantly acts as an organization that attempts to fight poverty by offering developmental assistance to middle- and low-income countries. Our client is a provider of financial and technical assistance to individual countries around the globe. The bank considers itself a unique financial institution that sets up partnerships to reduce poverty and support economic development.

Responsibilities


    The selected candidate will work closely with the existing teams of Data Engineers/Architects, the delivery data delivery teams and use standard methodology approaches to deliver information through either BI applications or data as-a-service via APIs. The position requires a sound technical knowledge and hands-on experience in SQL. The Data Analyst's main responsibility will be to learn and implement standard methodology data management techniques working in the data lifecycle management.

Skills


Must have

    The candidate should have the following core skill sets:
    • Solid understanding of modern databases, such as relational, MS/SQL, multidimensional, graph, noSQL, and others
    • Collaborate with data architects, modelers and IT team members on project goals
    • Work with team leads, learn to develop detail estimates of effort in all items related to data
    • Work together with data architect to model data for staging into a data warehouse
    • Develop data set processes for data modeling, mining, and production
    • Recommend ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality
    • Learn to build data pipelines to collect data and move it into storage
    • Prepare the data as part of an ETL or ELT process
    • Work with complex technical data stores such as Hadoop, Amazon S3, relational databases, Azure BLOB, Azure Data Lake store, and MS Azure DW
    • Ensure data is ready for use by consuming application, analyst, and scientist
    • Perform analysis of system data to identify patterns, exceptions and erroneous data
    • Ensure that data validation processes, data quality control standards, testing strategy and test plans for data services are applied to applications
    • Document definitions for all new data constructs and document the improvements in a standard document and/or metadata repository
    • Solid written and oral communications skills in English, as well as experience with technical documentation creation
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills, a keen sense of priorities and adept to communicate effectively

Nice to have

    • Technical Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field
    • Ability to work independently once guidance and goals are provided
    • Experience in various development methodology like Agile/Scrum development methodology
    • Maturity to participate in multiple complex programs at the same time in an agile environment
