This role assumes collaboration with OEM and support with product ownership activities related to the Program and give insight to multiple additional opportunities , where we are working to develop a factory like approach. This will be experience with automotive IVI development: a mid-level position that will be onsite in Plano, Texas with Luxoft.


    • As a tech lead/product owner responsible for contributing and reviewing Bluetooth and Wi-Fi specifications from perspective of in vehicle infotainment systems, writing system specs, manage suppliers, deliverables and contribute to contract negotiations.
    • Responsible for software evaluation of connected vehicle mobile applications on Android and iOS devices.
    • Lead cross time zone project status meetings with global team during product development cycle, requires meeting during after office hours.
    • Report and track software issues as well as communicate improvement opportunities to internal stakeholders.
    • Research and present industry trends of mobility products and services which leverages Bluetooth and Wi-Fi technologies to leadership team.
    • SME (Subject Matter Expert) of Bluetooth and Wi-Fi domain for internal teams.
    • Provide technical support to internal teams, including, but not limited to:
    • Analyze device log and provide analysis results o Issue reproduction in lab environment
    • Communicate with Tier 1 suppliers on head unit improvement points related to Bluetooth and/or Wi-Fi technologies.
    • Participate with in vehicle drive test (as necessary) focusing on infotainment system as the device under test.


Must have

    • Minimum 5 years of experience in software/hardware device testing of Android and iOS devices with focus on Bluetooth and Wi-Fi technologies.
    • Mobile app testing experience related to connected vehicle services.
    • Working knowledge of mobile app development and testing.
    • Working experience with using protocol analyzer such as Ellisys and/or Frontline.
    • Excellent understanding of Bluetooth classic and BLE profiles such as HFP, A2DP, AVRCP, PBAP, MAP, HID, GATT.
    • Strong knowledge of Bluetooth protocol architecture and layers such as RF, Baseband, LMP, L2CAP, SDP.
    • Scripting skills, including, but not limited to: Python, Perl, Ruby or Bash.
    • Good understanding of Bluetooth SIG specifications.
    • Working knowledge in requirement writing including function specifications, RFI and RFQ.
    • Ability to articulate and dissect complex issues into simple and meaningful format.
    • Experience in translating requirements into test artifacts and evaluate for expected behavior.
    • Understanding of software testing lifecycle in Agile and Waterfall methodology.
    • Experience working in a dynamic environment including multiple parties business partners and external suppliers.

Nice to have

    • Understanding of software testing lifecycle in Agile and Waterfall methodology.
    • Prior experience with device certification (i.e. Android, iPhone) process is helpful.
    • 1 - 3 years of experience in quality assurance of head unit systems, preferably (related but not limited to) Bluetooth, apps, handsfree calls and navigation functions.
