Development of a custom Data Lake Solution for an insurance company

Responsibilities

---

Interact with client technical teams to understand cloud transformation requirements and implement solutions consistent with defined terms, methodology, policy, plan and regulations.
Support creating design approaches, solutions and documentation for complex Cloud services transformation projects and programs
Support client technical teams to execute cloud transformation roadmap, requirements and identify solutions consistent with defined terms, methodology, policy, and regulations.
Work with assigned team through the development of a business, application and technology architecture, build solution, and produce expected strategic and technical documentation.
Support Cloud transformation projects on an ongoing basis
Identify technical risks or blockers
Execute tasks assigned by program, project team, customer and program leadership to ensure proper, timely completion of work.
Communicate projects status to clients, management
Anticipate problems or situations that could affect project success. Support resolving escalated situations as needed.

Skills

---

Must have

Experience in Architecting Data lake design, Data Warehouse projects, BI Reporting and Visualization
Experience with AWS services such as Athena, Glue, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB NoSQL, Relational Database Service (RDS), Amazon EMR, Amazon Redshift, and Amazon Quicksight
Hands on experience with any one of the programming languages (like Java, .Net, Python etc)
Hands on experience building and supporting public cloud (AWS) projects and strong understanding of database and analytical technologies in the industry including MPP and NoSQL databases,
AWS Certification - Associate level or above.
Strong business analysis and technical skills as well as logical mindset
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Solid understanding of public cloud technologies
Understanding of agile, devops methodologies
Must have experience working with tight deadlines and handling escalations.

Nice to have

Strong Python skills
2+ years of development experience in AWS Analytics & Big Data along with previous experience in Architecting Data warehouse/Analytics solutions
Professional Certification in AWS Developer/Architect
AWS Certified Data Analytics
