Project Description

Founded in 1984, Our Client is the world's leading provider of lithography systems for the semiconductor industry, manufacturing complex machines that are critical to the production of integrated circuits or chips. The client has its R&D and manufacturing operations in The Netherlands.

The Applications Business Line products are critical elements in the high-end semiconductor manufacturing processes. They build on the capabilities of our client's world renowned scanners, using them as an actuator to correct distortions caused by other process steps.

Within Applications, the Process Window Control (PWC) software products provide the means to optimize and control the manufacturing processes. The software brings huge benefits to customers and its use is increasing fast. A team of over 200 software developers works together with application engineers, process experts and support specialists to develop the unique market leading applications.

On a micro level, Test Engineers design and implement tests that check the quality and functionality of products. They participate in all phases of development, from determining the procedure to troubleshooting/reporting errors and communicating recommendations for improvement to the rest of the product development team.

On a macro level, they take up the role of clarifying the understanding of requirements by all parties involved: from business to the development in the form of clear requirements definition, and from development to business in the form of test definitions and reports.
