Project Description

New IVI project is looking for an experienced Software Architect (Lead) for an agile project. The project is an ongoing development project for one of our OEM customers, which is featuring state of the art and innovative functionalities.

Responsibilities

• Definition of the SW architecture of new features in the context of the pre-existing system.
• Work inside an intercultural team of many layers and competencies around software engineer, Architecture and development. Coordinate the variant diversity of the project from a SW architecture perspective. Develop new feature architecture in IVI releases. You are involved in tracking necessary updates for depending SW components (e.g. interfaces, databases, libraries). Ensure solution stability.
• Define scope of releases together with the Product Owner
• Keep the architecture documentation up to date and in a healthy state
• Support an existing branching strategy

Skills

Must

• Experience in automotive IVI SW architecture development, at least 2+ years
• Expert knowledge: C++, OOP/OOAD principles and practice, architecture documentation
• Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a similar technical degree
• Experience with tracking tools (i.e. Jira)
• Expert knowledge of version control systems & workflows (i.e. Git, Gerrit, SVN, Jenkins)
• Ability to quickly navigate in "third party" code to find potential problems and solutions
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum environment
• Familiarity with Linux & Windows systems
• A quality mind-set and profound knowledge of QA best practices
• Comfortable working in an Agile environment
• Excellent collaborative skills
• Analytical approach and problem-solving skills
• Can-do attitude
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Fluent in spoken & written German and English
