Project Description

The project revolves around a suite of applications covering risk calculation and post trade processing of derivatives transactions, which is a unique opportunity to be involved in a bank wide project covering almost the entire Investment Banking and every Front Office application within.
Teams are fully self-organizing and comprise 1 BA,1 Automation QA and 4 Java Developers (junior to senior) to be able to analyze requirements and deliver business solutions in a timely manner. We do apply proven practices of Continuous Delivery in order to be able to quickly react to change, using Clean-Code and Coding Craftsmanship approach with focus on Test Driven Development, Acceptance Test Driven Development and Domain Driven Development with almost 100% code coverage.
This is a challenging technical domain where the teams have the opportunity to define the architecture and technical solutions that are agreed upon using internal Technical Design committees. One of the current technical challenges is transformation to microservices architecture.
We do allow our colleagues a 20% innovation time - in order to support continuous improvement and innovation environment teams are allowed to spend 20% of time on learning the business, proof-of-concepts for new technologies with current requirements, conducting/attending trainings and knowledge sharing.
Teams are continuously improving and incorporating latest agile practices with several team members active at conferences delivering presentations on our working practices.

Responsibilities

Main aspect of the role is regulatory reporting application analysis.
Person is exposed to and gain experience in both technical and business domain. Still business tasks will prevail on technical.
Bringing together SMEs and Support Team to share business context and knowledge on handled issues;
Tracking open questions and ensuring that they are answered in a timely fashion to meet delivery deadlines;
Exploratory analysis of known issues and search for improvement areas;
Active participation in distributed agile process.

Skills

Must

Mandatory soft skills:
- Problem solving
- Solid attention to details and ability to find gaps
- Prepared to take responsibility about discovered problems and drive resolution process
- Able to analyze problems using different sources (documentation, source code etc)

Key tech skills:
Java
- Basic understanding of OOP
- Code investigation
- SQL
- Oracle preferably
- Able to make complex queries

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- You will have a lot of conversations, both verbal and written
