Microsoft Office 365 Engineer/Administrator

Project Description

The Microsoft Azure Platform Support (MAPS) team is a dedicated function that resides under the Technology Operation Center (TOC) support function. As part of the MAPS Team the successful candidate will perform hands-on tasks to manage and maintain our Microsoft O365 Offering and related technologies

Responsibilities

1. Manage integration of the Office Suite on O365 i.e. Exchange, Skype, Teams, SharePoint, AD (FS), OneDrive, etc
2. Manage and monitor Office 365 services and hybrid infrastructure.
3. Document changes to the systems using change management best practices
4. Maintain a highly secure system through proper configuration and system access monitoring
5. Assist with the migration of large volumes of data into the cloud platform
6. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with user access to cloud services
7. Maintain a good understanding of upcoming changes to the platforms to assist with user change management
8. Monitor and communicate to stakeholders the performance of the services
9. Ensure service delivery meets the business requirements (based on defined SLAs)
10. Deliver a consistent process for incident and problem escalation along with resolution in line with the sourcing governance framework
11. Champion the adoption of Office 365 services as appropriate for our business
12. Assist with the creation of policies around the proper use of Office 365 services and support
13. Collaborate with other IT staff, including networking, security, and data center operation teams, to facilitate effective issue resolution
14. Manage integration of the Office Suite on O365 i.e. Teams, Skype, SharePoint, AD (FS), OneDrive, etc
15. Create / Enhance Policies and compliance, work with SSO and multifactor authentication

Skills

Must

1. 5+ years of experience with Exchange (on premise/online) administration
2. 2+ years of Office 365 (over 1000 users) administration experience
3. 2+ years of Microsoft Windows Server administration experience
4. Office 365 or any other Microsoft certifications a plus
5. 2+ years of experience with Office 365 migration tools
6. Experienced and well versed in all Microsoft environments
7. Programming languages and scripting languages related to platform
8. Strong work ethic, with a passion to determine root cause of problems/issues
9. Outstanding communication skills
10. Excellent troubleshooting skills
11. Excellent organizational and time management skills
12. Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team

Nice to have

1. Considerable knowledge of managing Office 365 and other related cloud solutions
2. Strong understanding in managing user authentication through global ADFS
3. Experience with managing secure environments using MFA, DLP, RM and encryption.
4. Ability to create advanced PowerShell scripts to schedule repeatable Office 365 actions
5. Advanced knowledge of migrating data and services between Office 365 tenants
