Position:

Relocation Specialist (USA)

Project Description

• Oversee aspects of visa and immigration services, including the review and analysis of information and/or documentation drafted for submission with appropriate U.S. government agency
• Engage with visa-dependent employees, promoting positive business interactions and fostering long-term relationships with Luxoft's employees, management and HR
• Enabling Luxoft's visa-dependent population to take bold actions towards achieving business objectives
• Advise on daily immigration operations, proactively assessing and planning for regulatory changes that may impact the program and/or visa-dependent employees
• Consult with immigration attorneys and business program managers on complex immigration issues

Responsibilities

Detailed responsibilities:

Work Visa (U.S. non-immigrant)

• Supervise/support L1 visa document preparation. Review and finalize case. Company signatory for non-immigrant visa cases (possible)
• Communicate and assist an external attorney with visa filing
• Oversee visa documents preparation
• Prepare documentation for F1, OPT and OPT stem. Communication with co-sponsor for J1 visa
• Correspondents with attorney, the Department of Homeland Security and visa beneficiary
• Maintain all government form and documentation up to date

Green cards and immigrant visas

• Manage/support process from start to finish, continuous coordination with employee, manager, immigration attorney and USCIS
• Support and consult management with case initiation
• Define appropriate and efficient position qualification requirements
• Complete and review PERM form before filing with DOL
• Work with external attorney on preparation of I-140 form and supporting documentation for Green card filing with USCIS.
• Training of Luxoft USA employee before in-person interview for Green card.
• Work with Delivery on salary change for employee who's Green card was approved
• Provide to payroll specialist, finance team, hiring manager and employee file with repayment calculation. Work with HR on repayment schedule
• Support HR in I-9 reverification
• Consult employee on US permanent resident status

Communication with service provider

• Manage and coordinate day-to-day operations and relationships with external vendors
• Fees negotiation for each visa or green card case

HR for Expats (relocation)

• Consult HR, Recruitment and Delivery on relocation of terminated employee to home country
• Develop, implement and oversee application of policies and procedures
• Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues
• Provide expertise to local office staffing managers, HR Partners, HR team members and Controllers to facilitate their use of relocation policies and procedures
• Capture and circulate best practices for the relocation and immigration processes life-cycle
• Maintain in depth knowledge of legal requirements to reduce risks and ensure regulatory compliance • Immigrant/Non-immigrant Compliance

Audits and request from government

• Prepare RFE response or support an external immigration attorney by providing sensitive documents and information
• Prepare documents in support of PERM cases to the Department Of Labor
• Main point of contact in communication with Client and DOL officers

Business Travelers (B1/B2) visa support

• Tracking invitation letter for visa interviews and BT. Creating I94 forms. Providing the foreign travel department with eligibility to stay in US date
• Responding to all request from U.S consulate section and U.S Customs and Border Protection

Reporting and Statistics

• Prepare Head count report to illuminate number of foreign employees on work visas
• Prepare reports for delivery, provide with case status update
• Case reporting to management

Skills

Must

Required:
• Bachelor's degree from accredited university or equivalent experience
• 4+ years of U.S. immigration experience, either within a law firm (such as a paralegal with responsibility for immigration petition preparation/filing) or in-house in an organization with a significant volume of immigration-supported employees or in a recruiting or HR role with heavy U.S. immigration involvement

The ideal candidate should have:
• Prior U.S. employment‐based immigration experience, in the tech industry, strongly preferred
• Superlative writing and analytical skills required
• Ability to work independently, while also being a strong collaborator with a variety of personalities across a large number of diverse internal groups, teams, divisions, and cultures
• Ability to work efficiently, meet demanding deadlines in a fast‐paced environment, prioritize workflow and adjust to frequent workload fluctuations
• Ability to identify and escalate issues appropriately
• Strong results orientation with a dedicated focus on clients
• Fluent English including legal aspect
• Fluency in Russian
