Data Analyst/Data Science

Project Description

Quantitative investment fund develops and deploys systematic investment strategies across a variety of asset classes and global markets. We seek to produce high-quality trading signals (Alphas) through our proprietary research platform to employ trading strategies focused on market inefficiencies. Research, Portfolio Management and Technology collaboratively drive the production of Alphas and investment strategies - the foundation of a sustainable, global trading platform.

Fund's success is built on a culture that pairs academic sensibility with accountability for results. Employees are encouraged to think openly about problems, balancing intellectualism and practicality. Great ideas come from anyone, anywhere. Employees are encouraged to challenge conventional thinking and possess a mindset of continuous improvement. That's a key ingredient in remaining a leader in any industry.

Our goal is to hire the best and the brightest. We value intellectual horsepower first and foremost, and people who demonstrate an exceptional ability in something. There is no roadmap to future success, so we need people who can help us create it. Our collective intelligence will drive us there.

The Role: We are seeking a bright individual to join our Middle Office team as an Operations Analyst. We desire candidates who thrive on being right in the middle of the action and enjoy being immersed in the mechanics of the financial markets. Successful candidates will be able to solve problems posed by the confluence of quantitative trading and technology, specifically as it relates to automating these solutions. The role will focus on the analysis and optimization of clearing, settlement, stock loan and other post trade related activities. The candidate will work with Portfolio Managers, Senior Management, Risk and Compliance to define and automate reports related to fund's global trading operation. You will be responsible for reconciling fund's trading activity globally and handle breaks with counterparties. Additionally, you will be responsible for enhancing software tools and processes to meet challenges as the firm expands into other asset classes.

• Degree in a quantitative, technical or business related discipline
