ESB Administrator for banking system


Project Description

ESB System Administrator will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and configuring multiple WebSphere MQ instances, must excel in ESB, MQ technical knowledge, software support and technical guidance in support of business critical systems.
The Systems Administrators will provide Unix, Linux System infrastructure support for Core Lending system and interconnected technologies that require day-today support and administration in order to maintain optimum performance and utilization.

Responsibilities

Deployment, administration and operational support of (IIB production, UAT, test and development) environments for multiple projects using WebSphere Application Server/WebSphere Portal Server.
Experience with installation, maintenance, and support of External Service Bus (ESB), Internal Service Bus (ISB) and MQ channel connections.
Experience in Administration, Maintenance, Deployment, and Integration including Installation and Configuration of WebSphere MQ version 8 and higher.
Experience with security hardening of WebSphere MQ to include SSL encryption and Authority/Authentication Records
Expert in defining and modifying MQ configurations such as data sources, listener ports, transports, channels, pub/sub, etc.
Work with the other development dept/vendor to determine project requirements for test/production environments.
Monitor application server performance and respond appropriately. Monitors systems capacity and performance, plans and executes disaster recovery procedures, backup procedures, and provides level 2 support.
Troubleshoot problems from users to identify causes as well as provide solutions, & implementation of system relating to systems, applications and databases.
Keep current with emerging software enhancements, security patches and bug fixes.
Modifies, installs, and prepares technical documentation for system software applications.
Assist team leader to manage IT projects relating to systems, applications and databases
Create reports about the scalability & capacities of systems & databases on a weekly basis and as requested.

Skills Required

Background
● B.A. or B.S. degree, preferably in Computer Science
Experience with 2 to 3 years with Planning, Installation, Configuration, Deployment, Administration and Maintenance of IBM MQ, IIB 9-10 on various platforms like Solaris and LINUX, AIX environments
Experience in IIB queue Environment, Cluster, Multi-Instance QMGR, cluster file system, data synchronization
Experience in IIB queue tuning and performance management
Installing Fix packs for IBM Websphere, IIB and OS level (AIX/Linux)
Ability to analyze and troubleshoot problems by reviewing logs, manage queues, channels, listeners, intercommunications.
Must be available to troubleshoot incidences and resolve problems in a timely fashion which may require attendance after working hour.
Independent self-starter with proven ability to operate in a team environment, motivated to take action, and take ownership of the environment.
