Luxoft is one of the major Software Services companies world-wide. We deliver professional software services in multiple business verticals such as Finance, Automotive, and Digital Transformation.

Luxoft is building up a new special purpose organisation (SW House) targeted at developing In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) systems for the age of autonomously driving vehicles. How do people in cars spend their time? How do they interact with information and how do they best utilise the cars infrastructure in a future 2021? How to surpass all the benchmarks in automotive SW development. We believe that Software is the driving force to enable and differentiate in future environments. To achieve outstanding user experience, we build the SW House to apply the best of open source in the way that open source communities are meant to work, we focus on living continuous integration up to its most modern concepts including continuous delivery right into the vehicle. Our project setup and way of working follows agile principles scaled to a team of multiple hundred people.

Combining latest technologies, agile way of working and the continuous striving for the best solution, we will define what IVI looks like in the future together with our OEM partner.


As System Architect within the SW House you will define the overall system / software architecture with focus on the architectural design decisions and and design principles that apply to the system as a whole and/or are key for the system as such.

You will be leading work around architecture, design and documentation of interfaces etc. and supporting the product owner and teams to follow architectural decisions taken on their daily work. You will be a part of the overall product quality work by defining needed guidelines for design and coding, together with teams.

Skills Required

Define overall system / software architecture with focus on the architectural design decisions and design principles that apply to the system as a whole and/or are key for the system as such. The role of the architect is mainly a supporting and coordinating role for the project organization. System Architect has the final mandate to take decision on architecture and he/she has a responsibility for the quality of the design work done by the teams within the project organization. Works independently. Excellent communication skills, including fluent in English, fluent German skills.

Mandatory Experience:
* SW development background and years of first-hand experience
* Experience in working with Open Source communities and embedded Linux
* Experience from software development and architecture on Automotive. Especially IVI systems.

Experience from the following is meriting:
• Experience with automotive software modelling tools and software architectures and standards e.g. AUTOSAR, Genivi, etc. and with Automotive SPICE, CMM, or other software development process models.
• Knowledge of software planning methods and the ability to use them effectively
• Hands on experience in Linux and Qt/Qml.
• Genivi and open source components.
• Ability to communicate advanced and complex concepts and ideas persuasively and concisely to all levels of the business
• Experience with Infotainment features such as SDARs, Bluetooth, USB, Navigation, Hands-Free
• Excellent Knowledge of automotive SOC Systems Architectures (ARM/INTEL)
