Lead Professional Services Engineer

Project Description

SDLC Tools team focuses on delivering enterprise development tools services and development standardization programs across Deutsche Bank and we are in the process of building out a strong and dynamic engineering team. One of the streams focused on close collaboration with users, assisting, guiding and educating them, clarifying and proofing the standards.

JIRA, Jama, HP ALM, Confluence

CI: TeamCity, Jenkins
SCM: Git, SVN, Stash, BitBucket
Code Review: Fisheye & Crucible
Binary management: Nexus, Artifactory, BlackDuck
Code Analysis: Sonar, Coverity, Blue Optima

The team matches customer needs with Deutsche Bank standards and limitations to provide solution adopted for enterprise level SDLC. In addition to tools, the team focuses on providing standards and guidelines for development processes, aligning them with the industrial standards as well as regulatory requirements.

Position Description

Professional Services Lead-Engineer will work as part of global SDLC Tools team. Candidates must demonstrate strong communication skills to be able to manage user communities and organize training and on-boarding activities. Candidates have to be collaborative, client focused and be able to assist SDLC team in delivering world-class services to our clients.


• Lead on boarding/migration requests and queries on organizational level, driving the process, engaging and assisting to engineering and support teams, keeping focus on the clients.
• Constantly maintain and provide up-to-date documentation and global communication messages on updates and other changes.
• Educate our customers on how to use our services, clarify processes and procedures
• Drive demand management process and engage customers
• Collect and analyze feedback gathered from the teams, monitor customer satisfaction, bottle necks and pain areas
• Coordinate and deliver SDLC tool-stack training sessions to local and remote development teams
• Lead user acceptance testing initiatives, engage customers for that
• Coordinate and deliver technical/process remediation assistance to local and remote development teams
• Provide key guidance to develop process for monitoring SDLC adoption and compliance – reporting to Professional Services lead as needed

Skills Required

Technical Skills (Essential):
• Knowing SDLC tools working principles and key aspects of management and working with third party software
• Understanding software development process, IT service management
• Understanding software assets onboarding and management processes
• 4+ years of hands-on technical software development or build/release management experience or IT L3 support
Technical Skills (Desirable):
• Strong knowledge as user of some applications listed below:
o common requirements management (Jama, JIRA, Confluence)
o source control (SVN, GIT)
o automated build (TeamCity)
o binary storage (Nexus, Artifactory)
o deployment (uDeploy) technologies
• Understanding of ITIL principles (ITIL foundation certified)
• Strong Agile-style development background
• Enterprise experience
